The short version: we collect only what we need to quote and install your solar system, we never sell your information, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.
When you request a quote, we collect your name, contact details, address, and what you tell us about your home, roof, and energy use. If you become a customer, we also collect what's needed for permits, utility interconnection, and incentives — and system production data once your panels are on.
To design your system, prepare your quote, and file incentive paperwork on your behalf. If you move ahead, we share your project details with the licensed installation partner completing your install — they need them to pull permits, schedule the work, and register your warranties. We never sell your information.
We never sell or rent your personal information. We don't share it with marketers. We don't buy lead lists, and we don't add you to anyone else's.
Only the parties needed to complete your project: your utility (for interconnection), your local permitting office, incentive programs you enroll in, and — if you finance — the lender you choose. Each receives only what they require.
Our website uses privacy-respecting analytics to understand which pages are useful. No cross-site tracking, no advertising cookies.
You can ask to see, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you at any time — just email privacy@kindwatt.com. We'll respond within 30 days. Warranty and permit records we're legally required to keep are retained for the required period, then deleted.
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we'll email active customers and note the new date at the top of this page.
